I grew up in Brooklyn, NY spent most of my time in Harlem. I grew up on Mr. Hector. I listen to his music til this day. I watched the story of his life over a dozen times. There are alot of Singers and performers. In my book no one has taken the kings place. His sound was one of a kind. He will live forever!!!!

The first time I heard music by Mr Lavoe was in 2019 and I felt very strong conition and I love just listening to salsa music. Thank you Mr Lavoe.

Su temprana partida no permitio que siguiera mostrandonos su voz y talento, sin embargo es y siempre sera El Cantante de los Cantantes.

Just would like to say that I listen to all kinds of music..and Mr lavoe is one of them and I must say I like his singing style and I see why he is called the singer's of singers! Am going to San juan puerto Rico this June and can't wait to get to ponce to see the statue of him there a very gifted singer for sure !

Estaba viendo la película "El Cantante", interpretada por mis cantantes favoritos Marc Anthony, y JLo, y me gustó mucho la historia de este personaje, y la euforia que se siente por dentro al ver los espectáculos de música salsa. Saludos a todos. Héctor Lavoe, Willie Colón y Celia Cruz siempre serán algunas de mis influencias musicales.

Mr. Hector Lavoe I made a huge impact in my life and he's one of my idols and most of all one of my heroes I'm an artist he is the reason I want to do this To write music. I really wish I could of have meet him. I feel cheated lol Rest in peace to a true king of salsa. El cantante de los cantantes.

Hoy se conmemora la muerte de quien fuera uno de los mejores exponentes de la cancion, de Ponce Pueŕto Rico el Sr Hector Lavoe. Sigue vivo pues su legado tracendio la precencia fisica, como el mismo dijera "No le digo adios... le digo hasta siempre". El Cantante de cantantes. Q.D.E.P
