Hector and Nilda Lavoe lived two houses away from me with their son Hector Jr In Queens Village, NY. 101 ave/224th street. I went to school with Hector Jr. at Martin Van Buren High School the year his life was accidentally taken. God bless the family and also Hector Jr's children's mother Soraya whom I know as well. My condolences.... I am NOW getting more familiar with Hector Sr.'s music..It's great. A sad story....A brilliant latin musician.
