i was born in ponce puerto rico,all my life i being lisining to salsa music...but went i came to new york in late 80's that was went everithing change for me a meet hector lavoe in what was call back then 'casa borinquen'....nunca se me holvidad ver a the man hinself with a yeso puesto in one of his legs...for me hector lavoe was the voice of the caserios and barriadas pobres de puerto rico lots af can relate to him i am one of then,,el caballo sin jockey; el flaco,,el cantante de los cantantes.. y rey de la puntualidad..ect...
