Hector in his time was like no other in that he could sing from the heart what he truly felt. In that essence his songs were pure in heart and his audience truly loved him for that. Personally I admired him for his courage and strength to press on for the love of his music and Latino people. Today I miss him dearly but I have his music to press on too and carry me when times are tough. Then again like Hector us Puerto Ricans never stop giving and loving others.
