Hector Lavoe has impacted my love for salsa and appreciation for music like no other ever has or ever will. He's no longer here but boy did he make his mark. Hector was a masterful music genius of the highest level.

I saw the movie "El Cantante", While it was a good movie it does not depict the real story about Hector Lavoe. I'm old school. I've seen him live and in person(does that give my age away?) I want to see the true story of his life. Don't just depict him as a pitiful drug addict.

pues la verdad de hector no hay mucho que decir por que todo lo que tengo que discutir sobre el es que era es y sera EL GRANDE "CANTANTE DE CANTANTES" nadie en este focking mundo podra decir lo contrario y lo hago todo por el por que me corre por las venas (por que hacia afuera lo que no hace delante de ti ) lo idolatro gracias.........

que se puede decir lo demostro con su VOZ q es lo mejor q pudo incluir o juntar junto al tronbonista willie colon para hacer la perfecta mezcla de la mejor voz con un sentimiento ,realidad de la calle y de las experiencias de la vida,yo opino q deberian agregar mucho mas cosas a esta web porq ,telo mereces y mucho mas ,no es necesarioq te hagan un monumento porq tu voz quedara en los corazones de lo amantes de la buena salsa y del pueblo de puertorrico, peru y eso es imborrable,a si no existieran tus discos oalgo enq... I just want to say that I recently saw the movie El Cantante and was amazed by it,I never knew who Hector Lavoe was. But I have been so interested since and just wish things would have been different for him. I read the book Passion & Pain,the whole thing just makes me feel sorry for him.I pray for him and for the the loved ones he left behind,may god be with him.
