First I want to say Hector Lavoe is such a great singer and I really wish he was still around so I can meet him one of these days. Every song was pure and mainly positive. My mother would always listen to his music in the house. Your music still gets my attention and makes me feel very motivated to be great just like you. R.I.P Hector Lavoe aka : "El Cantante" King of Puerto Rico

I saw THE movie el cantante Last night. I have heard that the movie had many situations that were not real. Would love to be able to speak to his son and find out more about his real life. I grew up in Puerto Rico in 1965 and all his songs remind me of my childhood there. He was a great salsa singer. He will always be in my heart as the best salsa singer in the world then and now
