Thank you God, for giving to the world and to us SALSA fans HECTOR LAVOE. In my humble opinion and con el permiso de los demas cantantes que son grandes tambien y admiro con mucho respeto, one of the most beautiful voices in salsa. Hector Lavoe was and is an inspiration to me and an influence in me becoming a salsa musician. His songs inspired me gave me motivation and meaning in different periods of my life. Mis respetos y admiracion a "El Cantante De Los Cantantes, Hector Lavoe". Respetuosamente de Puerto Rico, TITO ALVES

Now that Christmas is around the corner, it is time to break out the Asalto Navideño albums recorded by Hector, Willie, and Yomo. Definitely timeless classics. Hector Lavoe's versatility was amazing. Hector nos canta desde la otra vida.

What can be said about this man and his incredible talent that has not already been said. I have seen him in concert several times and have many pictures of those Fania All-Star concerts in Madison Square Garden. Even today, no one can measure up to his incredible talent of ad-libing and deliverance of a song. He was the greatest and the best til this day.
