Hector Lavoe, el cantante procurso de la interancionalidad de la salsa. El hizo sonar la salsa cuando lo único que sonaba era la música disco del caimán del norte. La plasticidad que le supo dar a la salsa no tiene precedentes. Hechale semilla a la maraca, pa que suene!!!

Hector is "El Cantante de los cantantes". But if you've never heard another Salsa singer improvise and do it well, then you haven't heard much Salsa.

Hector is one of the best singers I have ever heard. Unfortunately when he was a alive I wasn't a fan but after watching the movie about his tragic life I heard his songs and became enamored of his musical style. What strikes me most is his unsurpassed ability at improvisation. I have never heard another singer that could compare when it comes to this.
